Chrome Extension Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 16, 2026

This policy applies to the Toolbench — Quick Tools Chrome extension published by Amcon Ceylon. The website Toolbench (https://toolbench.live) is covered by our main privacy policy.

The short version

The Toolbench extension does not collect, transmit, store on our servers, or sell any personal information. Every tool runs entirely on your own device. There is no analytics, no tracking, and no user account in the extension.

What the extension does with your data

When you use a tool in the popup, or a right-click action on selected text, the text or values you provide are processed locally in your browser to produce a result. This data is never sent to us or to any third party. It exists only for as long as it takes to show you the result.

Permissions and why they're used

contextMenus — to add the "Toolbench" right-click menu so you can transform selected text. offscreen and notifications — to copy a right-click result to your clipboard and confirm it with a brief notification. storage — to remember small preferences on your own device, such as your last-used tool and light/dark theme. None of these permissions are used to collect or transmit personal data.

What we don't do

We do not use remote code, we do not read the content of the web pages you visit (only the text you explicitly select and act on), we do not track your browsing, and we do not share any data with third parties. The extension requests no host permissions.

Data retention and deletion

Because no data leaves your device, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Preferences stored on your device are removed if you uninstall the extension or clear its storage from your browser.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Questions? Reach us via our contact page.
